U.S. puts $25million reward on ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi Read more;          New York – The U.S. Government has put a 25 million dollars offer on Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, an increase from the initial 10 million dollars. The U.S. Government announced the new reward in a statement issued by the Department of State. “The U.S. Department of State’s Rewards for Justice Program is increasing to 25 million dollars its reward offer for information leading to the location, arrest, or conviction of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, also known as Ibrahim ‘Awwad Ibrahim ‘Ali al-Badri, also known as Abu Du’a.  “This represents a significant increase from the previous reward offer of 10 million dollars announced in October 2011.” The statement said in recent years, ISIL has gained the allegiance of jihadist groups and radicalised individuals around the world, and has inspired attacks in the U.S. “Under Al-Baghdadi, ISIL has been

How Cristiano Ronaldo, the world's highest-paid sports star, makes and spends his millions

Cristiano Ronaldo was already the highest-paid athlete of any sport and now he can add a new title: lifetime Nike athlete. Earlier this week, Ronaldo signed a new "lifetime" contract with Nike. Manchester United captain Rooney withdraws from England squad

Wayne Rooney has withdrawn from the England squad after suffering a minor knee injury. The Manchester United captain has returned to Carrington for further assessment on the problem after sitting out Monday's training session. However, he may not necessarily be out of United's Premier League fixture with Arsenal on Saturday. The England international was due to be rested in Tuesday's friendly with Spain at Wembley by interim manager Gareth Southgate, so an early release from the Three Lions' camp is a logical precaution. Jose Mourinho will already be missing striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic against Arsene Wenger's Gunners after the Swede picked up a suspension for a fifth yellow card against Swansea last time out. Marcus Rashford will be hoping to get the start up front for United, but was forced to play on the wing in the defeat to Fenerbahce while Rooney was in the central role until Ibrahimovic was introduced. Arsenal will be without Hector Bellerin for the clash

Frank Lampard to be offered Chelsea post if he retires from playing

Chelsea will offer Frank Lampard a role back at Stamford Bridge if the former England midfielder decides his playing days are over after announcing his intention to leave New York City in December at the end of his contract. Lampard took to social media on Monday to confirm his time at the Major League Soccer club had come to an end after 15 goals in 31 appearances, culminating in defeat by Toronto in the play-offs this month, with confirmation of his next move to follow “very soon”. The 38-year-old, who won 106 England caps, is to decide whether to move into punditry or coaching, a career choice for which he has previously expressed enthusiasm, but will field interest from Chelsea whichever path he chooses to take. The Premier League club will offer their record goalscorer either an ambassadorial role or a position on the coaching staff, depending upon his ambitions, as they seek to retain close links with their most successful generation of players. There is a desire within the cl

Schweinsteiger: I am ready whenever Mourinho needs me

Bastian Schweinsteiger has told Jose Mourinho that he is ready to give his all for the team whenever the Manchester United manager needs him. The former Germany international has yet to feature in a competitive game this season after being deemed surplus to requirements by Mourinho at the start of the campaign. He was recently welcomed back to first-team training, though, and is desperate to start playing games again. "I am trying to keep myself fit for the situation in which I am needed," Schweinsteiger was quoted as saying by Eurosport. "Hopefully I will be given a chance. I look forward to training every day and being able to train with the team. I do not know if I will get a chance but I hope so. If I am needed, I will give everything - I am ready. "I still feel fit at 32 and certainly want to play more years at the top level and, of course, I want to win things. We won the FA Cup last year and that was also one of my aims. Of course it would be great to p
The truth about Donald Trump's hair: Former hairdresser reveals the lacquer, home cuts... and if it's real.. She described his blond dye job as a “calamity” and revealed he used so much lacquer to achieve his trademark style his hair was “solid and matted”. And Amy, who worked with Trump on early seasons of the The Apprentice USA, dismissed rumours the businessman wore a toupee or had a hair transplant. She said: “He has really long hair and he combs it back straight. © Provided by Mirror “He does it himself. It is real and it is his hair – he doesn’t have plugs.” Amy continued: “When I looked at the back of his hair I could tell it was not a hairdresser cutting it. It was scary. It was just cut in a straight line. “The colour was so

On Wednesday, it was claimed the 26-year-old's Ferrari was repossessed while he and girlfriend Kylie were at a Bentley dealership in Calabasas, California. According to TMZ, the dad-of-one reportedly missed a number of payments on the car's lease and a repo man with with a spare key took it while the pair were shopping for yet another luxury vehicle, leaving them to catch a ride from pals. I'm over it!!!" Meanwhile, just last week it was reported that the 26-year-old owes $186,275 to F&S Investmen
Melania Trump Sues Tabloid For $150 Million Over 'Escort Service' Report . Melania Trump, the wife of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, on Thursday filed a defamation lawsuit against the U.S. publisher of the Daily Mail and an unrelated blogger over their reports (since retracted) that she worked as an escort in the 1990s. According to Melania Trump’s lawyer, the suit seeks $150 million in damages for the egregious, malicious and harmful actions of the publication and the blogger, and which were “tremendously damaging to her personal and professional reputation.” The Daily Mail is one of a number of publications that reprinted reports from a Slovenian magazine, Suzy. The reports concern a former mentor of Melania Trump, modeling agent Paulo Zampolli, who employed her in the 1990s. The Daily Mail, citing Suzy, reported that Zampolli also ran a high-end escort service. Trump and Zampolli both vehemently deny they were ever involved in the escort busines
Woman accidentally kills herself trying to go 'half-way to heaven' to say goodbye to dead best friend Jazmine Howarth, from Radclifee, thought she could “control death” and meet her friend Dionne Corbett "half-way to heaven". Miss Howarth’s fiancée found her hanged in a community garden near her home, 24 hours after she had visited Ms Corbett’s body in a chapel of rest. An inquest at Rochdale Coroner's Court was told Miss Howarth had written letters saying she wanted to meet mother-of-one Miss Corbett “for one last time”, according to the Mirror. The 25-year-old said after the visit she would carry on with life and “return to the land of the living”. Ms Corbett’s suicide had left Miss Howarth devastated as the pair had been best friends since they were toddlers. The inquest heard that two days before Miss Howarth’s death, her fiancée saw her writing down words from a TV signal that was tuning in and out, believing it be a message from her friend. Coro
Arsenal fans are not waiting for the first north London derby of the season to reignite their long-running rivalry with Tottenham after poking fun at their £30m signing of Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle, with the France midfielder insisting for years that he wants to play for the Gunners. Sissoko went public on more than one occasion with his desire to play for Arsenal, having seen a string of French internationals pass through the club during Arsene Wenger’s 20-year reign. But while Arsenal considered making a move for the 27-year-old in recent years, his terrible form last season looked to put them off for good. He did impress at Euro 2016 as hosts France reached the final, though that only annoyed Newcastle fans further due to a belief that he simply hadn’t tried to perform to his best level during the 2015/16 campaign as the Magpies were relegated to the Championship. At one point, Sissoko looked to be on his way to Everton after they lodged a £30m offer, but the move trigger
